Yajurveda Chapter 23- (17 verses)
१३१०. उक्ताः सञ्ज्वरा एताः शुनासीरीयाः श्वेता वायव्याः श्वेता सौर्याः ॥१९॥
These are the feverish ailments, associated with Indra, the white ones, the wind-born, the white ones, the sun-born.
ये इंद्र से संबंधित ज्वर, श्वेत, वायु से उत्पन्न और सूर्य से उत्पन्न होने वाले रोग हैं।
१३११. वसन्ताय कपिञ्जालानालभते ग्रीष्माय कलविङ्क-वर्षभ्यस्तिरिरुच्छ्रदे वर्तिका ॥२०॥
The spring season is honored with the Kapinjala bird, summer with the Kalavinka bird and a bull, and the rainy season with the Vartika bird.
वसंत ऋतु का अभिनंदन कपिञ्जल पक्षी से, ग्रीष्म ऋतु का अभिनंदन कलविङ्क पक्षी और वृषभ से, तथा वर्षा ऋतु का अभिनंदन वर्तिका पक्षी से किया जाता है।
१३१२. समुद्राय शिशुमारानालभते पर्जन्याय मण्डकान्दभ्यो मत्स्यान्निमात्राय कुलीपाय-वरुणाय नाकान् ॥ २१ ॥
The ocean is pleased with young seals, the clouds with frogs, the rivers with fish, and Varuna with the sky.
समुद्र शिशुमारों से, पर्जन्य मेंढकों से, नदियाँ मछलियों से और वरुण आकाश से प्रसन्न होते हैं।
१३१३. सोमाय हं salsaNALABHATE वायवे बलाका इन्द्राग्निभ्यां कुज्वानिमित्राय मद्रुवरुणाय चक्रवाकान् ॥२२॥
To Soma, the peacock; to Vayu, the crane; to Indra and Agni, the cuckoo; to Mitra and Varuna, the ruddy goose.
सोम के लिए हंस, वायु के लिए बगुला, इन्द्र-अग्नि के लिए कोयल, और मित्र-वरुण के लिए चकवा पक्षी हैं।
१३१४. अग्नये कृटृनालम्भते वनस्पतिभ्य उलूकान्नीपोमाभ्यां चावानांश्वभ्यां मयूराग्निरावृणाभ्यां कपोतान् ॥ २३ ॥
Offer to Agni the grass-stalks, to the forest deities the owls, to the two Nipas the jackals, and to the peacock and the fire-bird the pigeons.
अग्नि के लिए तृण-डंठल, वनस्पति के लिए उल्लू, निपाओं के लिए गीदड़, और मयूर तथा अग्नि-पक्षी के लिए कबूतरों का बलिदान करें।
१३१५. सोमाय लवानालभते त्वष्ट्रे कौलीकान्गोपादीदीवानां पत्नीभ्यः कुलीका ॥२४॥
To Soma, the salt; to Tvashta, the artisans; and to the wives of the cowherds, the Kūlikas.
सोम के लिए लवण, त्वष्टा के लिए शिल्पी, और गौपालकों की पत्नियों के लिए कुलीक (समर्पित हैं)।
१३१६. अहे पारावतनालभते रात्रै सीचाचूरोहोरात्रयोः सन्धिभ्यो जतुमसिभ्यो दात्योहोन्संत्सत्सरय महतः सुपूर्णान् ॥२५॥
The night, like a dove's nest, is filled with the essence of the day, and from the junctions of dawn and dusk, the great year is born, complete and full.
रात्रि कबूतर के घोंसले के समान है, जो दिन के सार से भरी है, और भोर और सांझ के मिलन से, महान वर्ष पूर्णता से उत्पन्न होता है।
१३१७. भूम्याऽऽ आखूनालभतेनरिश्वाय पाङ्क्त्रान्दि्वे कशान्दिभ्यो नकुला-नभुकानवान्तरदिशाभ्यः ॥ २६ ॥
From the earth, mice are obtained; from the north, snakes; from the east, mongooses; and from the intermediate directions, cats.
पृथ्वी से चूहे, उत्तर दिशा से सर्प, पूर्व दिशा से नेवले और मध्य दिशाओं से बिल्लियाँ प्राप्त होती हैं।
१३३९. गायत्री त्रिष्टुब्जगत्त्यनुष्टुप्छन्दस्त्वा सह । बृहत्पृष्ठा ककुप्छ्न्दोभिः शम्यन्तु त्वा ॥
May the Gayatri, Tristubh, Jagati, and Anushtubh meters, along with the Brihat and Kakubh meters, bring you peace.
गायत्री, त्रिष्टुभ, जगती, अनुष्टुभ छन्दों के साथ बृहत् और ककुभ छन्द भी आपको शांति प्रदान करें।
१३४०. द्विपदा यजुस्तुष्पदादित्रिपदा यश्च सच्छन्दाः सूचीभिः शम्यन्तु त्वा ॥
May the verses, whether of two, three, or more feet, and the well-formed chants, with their sharp points, bring you peace.
हे यजुर्वेद, दो, तीन या अधिक पाद वाले छन्द, और सुगठित मंत्र अपनी तीक्ष्णता से तुम्हें शांति प्रदान करें।
१३४१. महानाम्यो रेवत्यो विश्वा आाशाः । प्रभुवरी । मेधीविद्युतो वाचः सूचीभिः शम्यन्तु त्वा ॥३५ ॥
May the great, auspicious, all-pervading powers, the radiant intellect, and the sharp words of wisdom purify you.
हे रेवती, समस्त दिशाओं में व्याप्त महान शक्तियाँ, प्रज्ञा और तीक्ष्ण वाणी तुम्हें पवित्र करें।
१३४२. नार्ग्यस्ते पत्त्यो लोम विचिन्वन्तु मनीषया । देवानां पत्त्यो दिशः सूचीभिः शम्यन्तु त्वा ॥३६ ॥
May your husband's hair not be plucked out by the wise. May the directions of the gods be smoothed for you with needles.
हे मनुष्य, बुद्धिमान लोग तुम्हारे पति के केश न उखाड़ें, और देवताओं की दिशाएँ तुम्हारे लिए सूइयों से सुगम हों।
१३४३. रजता हरिणीः सीसा युजो युज्यन्ते कर्मभिः । अधस्य वाजिनस्वचि सिमाः शम्यन्तु शम्यन्तीः ॥३७ ॥
The mind, like a swift horse, is yoked by actions; may it be restrained by wisdom, just as a chariot is controlled by reins.
कर्मों से युक्त मन, तीव्र अश्व के समान, बुद्धि रूपी लगाम से नियंत्रित हो।
१३४४. कुविद्इश्यमन्तो यवञ्जिग्ध्था दास्यन्पूर्व वियूय । इहेहैषां कृणुहि भोजनानि ये बर्हिषो नमऽउक्तिं यजन्ति ॥३८ ॥
May those who offer praise and sacrifice to the ancestors be nourished here and now with their offerings.
जो पितरों को अन्न अर्पण करते हैं, वे यहीं, इसी जन्म में, अपने अर्पणों से तृप्त हों।
१३४५. कस्त्या छघति कस्त्या विशास्ति कस्ते । शमिता कविः ॥
Who is it that destroys? Who is it that governs? Who is it that knows all? He is the tranquil, the wise poet.
कौन उसका नाश करता है, कौन उसका शासन करता है, कौन सब कुछ जानता है? वह शांत, ज्ञानी कवि है।
